Wilhelm Kreyher

Franz Alexander Wilhelm Kreyher (born May 17, 1806 in Rüdersdorf near Berlin ; † July 12, 1855 in Berlin ) was a German architect .

Wilhelm Kreyher began studying at the Berlin Bauakademie in 1828 and became a member of the Berlin Architects' Association . From 1839 he was a conductor in Potsdam and worked under the direction of Carl Hampel on the construction of the Gardehusar barracks in Berliner Straße. In 1843 he went to the Ministry of Finance in Berlin and in 1845 became a city architect. From 1845 to 1848, the Friedrich Wilhelm Hospital at Palisadenstrasse 3 was built according to his designs. In 1846 he revised Heinrich Strack's design for the Petrikirche and in 1848/49 the grammar school was expanded to become the gray monastery . In 1849 he succeeded Friedrich Wilhelm Langerhans as town planning officer.
