Wilhelm Ludwig Frommel

Wilhelm Ludwig Frommel (born December 4, 1795 in Kirchberg , † December 16, 1869 in Wieblingen ) was a German Protestant clergyman and educator.

Life

Wilhelm Ludwig Frommel studied Protestant theology at Heidelberg University from 1813 and became a member of Corps Suevia Heidelberg in 1813 . In 1817 he was candidate for a parish office and in 1818 prorector of the grammar school in Pforzheim . In 1834 he gave the ceremonial address for the inauguration of the monument donated by Grand Duke Leopold in Pforzheim to commemorate the Battle of Wimpfen . In 1836 he became the first parish priest in Pforzheim. Frommel was dean and school visitator in Pforzheim.

family

He was the father of Wilhelm Christoph Frommel (1829-1896), also pastor and founder of the chapel congregation in Heidelberg and the grandfather of the poet and theologian Otto Frommel (1871-1951).
