Wilhelm Mattersdorff

Wilhelm Mattersdorff (born May 29, 1872 in Breslau ; † April 10, 1946 ) was a German engineer and director of Hamburger Hochbahn AG .

Life

Mattersdorff, son of the banker Max Mattersdorff, attended the Maria-Magdalenen-Gymnasium in his hometown of Breslau and studied mechanical engineering and electrical engineering at the Technical University in Berlin-Charlottenburg . After graduating as Dr.-Ing. he became government construction manager at the Prussian railway administration, later head of the railway department of AEG and finally operations manager and authorized signatory of Hamburger Hochbahn AG. In 1918 he became director and full board member there.

Mattersdorff had been chairman of the "Electrical Committee" of the Association of German Transport Administrations since 1919 and chairman of the Railway Commission of the Association of German Electrical Engineers since 1921.
