Wilhelm Reichert

Wilhelm Georg Reichert (born July 3, 1928 in Stockheim ) is a German trade unionist and politician ( SPD ).

Life and work

After attending elementary school, Reichert was drafted into military service towards the end of the Second World War . After the end of the war, he trained as a bricklayer and then worked in this profession. From 1963 he worked as secretary of the German trade union federation in Büdingen .

Political party

Reichert joined the SPD in 1955 and was elected chairman of the SPD sub-district of Büdingen in 1967.

MP

Reichert had been a councilor of the Stockheim community since 1960 and was elected chairman of the local parliament in 1964. Since 1964 he was also a member of the Büdingen district council . From 1970 to 1987 he was a member of the Hessian state parliament . He was elected in the Wetterau II constituency.
