Wilhelm Schich

Wilhelm Schich (* 1889 or 1890; † February 25, 1940 in Vienna ) was an Austrian theater director and actor .

Life

At the Salzburg Festival in 1934 and 1935 he played the fat cousin in Jedermann am Domplatz and the seal in Faust in the Felsenreitschule. In 1934 he also took over the speaking role of Harun al Raschid in Carl Maria von Weber's Oberon .

In Géza von Bolváry's Lumpacivagabundus film adaptation from 1936 he was the driver's driver, in EW Emo's film Thirteen Chairs from 1938 he played the auctioneer. Between 1933 and 1940 he was seen in 22 smaller film roles, including such successful titles as Mein Liebster ist ein Huntersmann (1933), Kleines Mädchen - Große Liebe (1938), Immortlicher Walzer (1939) or Krambambuli (1940).

He died at the age of 50 and was buried in the Vienna Central Cemetery (Gr. 89, R. 11, No. 16). The grave has already been abandoned.
