Wilhelm Schreyer

Wilhelm Schreyer (born September 3, 1897 in Clausthal , † September 27, 1968 in Clausthal-Zellerfeld ) was a German politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hanoverian Landtag .

Life

After attending primary school, Wilhelm Schreyer trained as a mechanic and worked in this profession. In the First World War he did military service from 1916 to 1919. After the end of the war he worked again as a mechanic in Bremen, later also in Berlin. In 1920 he joined the SPD. Among other things, due to his commitment as chairman of the works council, he was dismissed in 1925. In the period up to 1930 he worked in various areas. As a reporter for the Harzer Volkszeitung, he ridiculed the National Socialist-minded Mr. Schmudeck . From 1930 to 1932 he headed an advertising column for the SPD. During the National Socialist era he gave up this job for political and economic reasons and was unemployed until 1934. As a result, he worked in various jobs until he became a machinist at Clausthaler Elektrizitätswerk in 1937. During the Second World War he did military service in 1939 and 1940. After the end of the war, he became involved in building the union and its organizations from July 1945. In February 1946, he became district administrator in the Zellerfeld district.

From August 23, 1946 to October 29, 1946 he was a member of the appointed Hanover State Parliament.
