Wilhelm von Ilten

Wilhelm Friedrich Christian von Ilten (* in Gestorf ; † 1883 in Steinbrück ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Wilhelm von Ilten was the son of Friedrich Franz Christian von Ilten, landowner and Drost on Gestorf and on Thiedenwiese near Hanover, and his wife Juliane geb. by Mengerssen from Hülsede. Ilten attended high school in Celle . From 1809 he studied law at the University of Göttingen , where he became a member of the Corps Hannovera Göttingen . As a liberation fighter, he took part in the battle of Waterloo as a lieutenant . After his military service he entered the administrative service of the Kingdom of Hanover . In 1824 he was appointed official assessor of the Wennigsen office , transferred to the Medingen office in 1839 and to the Hitzacker office in 1845 . Wilhelm von Ilten became bailiff of the Steinbrück office in 1850 and retired in 1856.
