William of Saillon

Wilhelm von Saillon († July 3, 1205 ) was Bishop of Sitten from 1203 to 1205 .

Life

Wilhelm came from a noble family named after Saillon , vassals of the Counts of Savoy . He was first mentioned in 1198 and after May 12, 1203 Bishop of Sion. Wilhelm left half of Riddes' tithe to the cathedral in Sion .
