Riddes (formerly German  Riden ) is a political municipality and a civic municipality with a civic council in the Martigny district in the French-speaking part of the canton of Valais in Switzerland .

Riddes out since 1941 that goes cableway Riddes-Isérables to the 610 meters higher Isérables , which until the 1970s was virtually inaccessible.

The local council, the Conseil communal , of Riddes consists of five members.

Riddes to the hamlet belongs Ecône that the seat of the traditionalist Society of St. Pius X. is known.
