Wilhelmine Goldmann (* 1948 in Traisen ) is an Austrian manager.

Life

Wilhelmine Goldmann studied world trade at the Vienna University of Economics and Business and graduated with a degree in business administration . Goldmann is an avowed music lover. She has been playing the cello since she was 16 .

In the course of her career in the Chamber for Workers and Salaried Employees in Vienna, the focus of her work was in the economic sector. As a result, she worked on restructuring and privatization projects in the Österreichische Industrieholding AG (ÖIAG).

After four years of management and successful restructuring of Österreichische Postbus AG (today ÖBB-Postbus GmbH), she took over the position of director of the board of ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG for local and regional transport in 2005 .

When Wilhelmine Goldmann publicly demanded more money for the railway without first consulting with ÖBB-Holding board member Martin Huber , the first rift followed, followed by injured vanities, power games and intrigues. The allegations against Wilhelmine Goldmann were summarized in a twelve-page pamphlet . Among other things, she was accused of: "Ms. Goldmann uses a large amount of operating resources of the ÖBB for the association Opernwerkstatt Wien [...] and allocates employees to a considerable extent for the purposes of the opera workshop" . The disputes reached their climax in the summer of 2006, when the holding board member Martin Huber demanded that Goldmann be dismissed, which, however, was rejected by the supervisory board of Personenverkehr AG.

After the bullying continued internally and Wilhelmine Goldmann had enough of these quarrels, which had both personal and political backgrounds (Huber was supported by the ÖVP , Goldmann was included in the SPÖ ), she announced her resignation on June 25, 2007 and left by mutual agreement from the board of directors of ÖBB-Personenverkehr AG. Her contract would have run until January 2009. At the request of Transport Minister Werner Faymann , she remained an advisor to Horst Pöchhacker, Chairman of the ÖBB Holding Supervisory Board, until March 2008 .

After this position, Wilhelmine Goldmann was a member of the Supervisory Board of the Salzburg Festival until December 31, 2009 . Goldmann is a cellist in the orchestra of the "Wiener Konzertvereinigung".

Since 2008 she has been chairwoman of the supervisory board of MuseumsQuartier Wien and Global Sozial AG. Since July 2013 she has been chairwoman of the university council of Graz University of Art.
