Wilhelmine pioneer
Wilhelmine pioneer (born 19th September 1889 in Horst at Steele ; died 22. September 1960 in Gelsenkirchen ) was a German politician of the SPD .
Life
Wilhelmine Vorreiter joined the SPD in 1910 and was involved in workers' welfare . With the introduction of the same right to vote in the Weimar Republic, she was elected city councilor in Gelsenkirchen in 1919 and was re-elected until 1933. She was also elected to the Provincial Parliament of the Province of Westphalia , for the first time in 1925. In the SPD, she was an assessor in the Western Westphalia district committee from 1924 to 1931. In 1927 she was a delegate at the Party Congress of the SPD. In the AWO she became a member of the district board.
After the handover of power to the National Socialists in 1933, Vorreiter was placed in so-called protective custody for a period .
After the end of the war, she came again in 1950 to replace the city council in Gelsenkirchen.
