Wilhelmsburg industrial railway

The Wilhelmsburger Industriebahn is a former private railway facility in Hamburg . It was used for freight traffic in the industrial area of ​​the former Prussian municipalities of Wilhelmsburg and Harburg and later merged with a successor company to the Hamburg port railway . The wagons were handed over to the state railway in Wilhelmsburg station .

At the beginning of the 20th century, the operating company of the Wilhelmsburg industrial railway set up its own burial ground on the premises at the industrial railway station. The so-called Bahnhofsfriedhof Wilhelmsburg (or railway cemetery) was established for plant employees and their relatives under the sponsorship of Ev. St. Raphael parish used until the 1980s.
