Wilke Thomä , also Wilken Thomae and Wilkinus Thomas (* before 1449, † after 1477 ) was a lawyer, electoral councilor in Brandenburg and provost of Lebus and Soldin .

Life

In 1449 Thomä was dean of the collegiate monastery in Beuster near Seehausen in the Altmark . In the following years he was electoral councilor, legal advisor, chaplain and confessor of Elector Friedrich II of Brandenburg . Around 1452 he was pastor at the Erasmus Church in the new castle in Cölln near Berlin.

From 1455 to 1457 Thomä was provost in the cathedral chapter of Lebus-Fürstenwalde . In 1474 he was mentioned as provost of the Collegiate Monastery of Soldin when he received permission from the papal legate Antonius Bonumbra to give benefits to people he had chosen. This right, which actually only belonged to a bishop, was granted to him because the Pope had refused to recognize the bishop of Cammin Ludwig von Eberstein . In 1477, Propst Thomä was unable to enforce the candidates he had nominated during a trial before a papal court.
