Willem Albracht
Willem Albracht (* 1861 in Antwerp ; † 1922 in Berchem (Antwerp) ) was a Belgian painter of landscapes, portraits, genre scenes and interiors.
Albracht was a student of the Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Antwerpen and the Nationaal Hoger Instituut voor Schone Kunsten Antwerp under Charles Verlat . After graduating, he stayed in Antwerp as a freelance artist.
From 1883 he was a member of the “Als ik kan” group in Antwerp and exhibited regularly in Belgium and abroad (at the Great Berlin Art Exhibition in 1891 and 1896). He went on study trips to the Netherlands and Germany .
