Willetzheim

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Willetzheim (also mentioned as Willenzheim or Wieletzheim ) is a desert between Dittwar and Dittigheim , two districts of Tauberbischofsheim in the Main-Tauber district in Baden-Württemberg .

history

Willetzheim was an old, probably early medieval settlement that was probably built in the 16th – 17th centuries. Century was abandoned. The name of the village, which was mentioned in a document at the Grünsfeld office in 1502, can also be recognized from an identical field name in the Dittigheim district near the Dittwar – Dittigheim boundary. Further records from Bischofsheim from 1551 suggest that two owners of Wieletzheimer estates (with the name Schön and Ziegler) moved to Bischofsheim, possibly with many others who left the sinking place. In 1515 and 1560 the place was mentioned for the last time in the Dittigheim valid register, before it was probably lost in the second half of the 16th century or in the first half of the 17th century and only remained as a field name.
