In total, more than 6,000,000 ads are online on willhaben (as of February 2019). The willhaben marketplace is the largest free online marketplace in Austria with more than 5,000,000 articles and services. The company also states that it operates a large vehicle exchange with more than 120,000 vehicles. On average, around 50,000 advertisements were placed on willhaben every day in 2013. The use of the marketplace is free for private advertisers. That means: There are no fees or sales commissions for private advertisements on the marketplace. A vehicle advertisement is also free for private users.

Ads in the areas of real estate, auto & motor (one vehicle ad free for private users) and jobs & careers are subject to a charge, as are ads from dealers. Commercial advertisers can operate their own online shops on the marketplace . There are basically no fees for buyers at willhaben. In contrast to Internet auction houses, offers on willhaben are only made at fixed prices. The actual transaction takes place between the seller and the buyer.

In terms of the total monthly reach of the individual offers in Austria, according to the ÖWA Plus study 2018-I, willhaben took first place with 55 percent.
