The William A. Switzer Provincial Park is a 60.95 km 2 nature reserve traversed by the Bighorn Route in the west of the province of Alberta , which is located in the foothills of the Rocky Mountains in a lake-rich area between 1,150 and 1,300 meters above sea level.

The park was established on December 22, 1958 and is operated by Alberta Community Development . The park is an IUCN Category II ( National Park ) protected area .

There are numerous opportunities for water sports; Camping is available at Gregg Lake, Cache Lake, Blue Lake and Jarvis Lake.
