William Frederick, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh
Prince William Frederick, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh (born January 15, 1776 in Rome , † November 30, 1834 in Bagshot Park , Surrey ) was a member of the British royal family.
Life
Wilhelm Friedrich was the son of William Henry, Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh and his wife Maria Walpole . With the death of his father on August 25, 1805 he inherited the titles Duke of Gloucester and Edinburgh and Earl of Connaught .
Since July 22, 1816 he was with his cousin Princess Maria , the fourth oldest daughter of King George III. married. The marriage remained childless.
