William Prince (actor)
William Prince (born January 26, 1913 in Nichols , New York , † October 8, 1996 in Tarrytown , New York ) was an American actor who starred in numerous soap operas and had dozens of guest appearances in other television series.
Life
Following his film career in the late 1940s, Prince switched to television in the 1950s and made a few appearances on series such as Studio One , Philco Television Playhouse and Armstrong Circle Theater . He also had roles in some soap operas such as Young Dr. Malone , Another World , As the World Turns , The Edge of Night and A World Apart . There he often appeared with his colleague Augusta Dabney . He has also made a few film appearances, for example in Cyrano de Bergerac , in the comedy I Am You , in the action thriller The Man Who Never Gives Up (1977) and as network president Edward Ruddy in Paddy Chayefsky's Film Network .
During the 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s, Prince made several guest appearances on dozens of series.
