William Smith (cyclist)
William R. "Bill" Smith (* 1893 ; † October 1958 in Johannesburg ) was a South African track cyclist .
William Smith competed in four disciplines at the 1920 Olympic Games in Antwerp . In the tandem race he won the silver medal together with James Walker . In the team pursuit , he won the bronze medal with the South African team - Smith, Walker, Sammy Goosen , Henry Kaltenbrunn . He finished seventh in the 50-kilometer race, and in the sprint he was eliminated on the first lap.
