William Westenra, 7th Baron Rossmore

William Warner Westenra, 7th Baron Rossmore (born February 14, 1931 ) is a British - Irish nobleman and former politician.

He is the only son of William Westenra, 6th Baron Rossmore , and his wife Dolores Cecil Lee (née Wilson).

He was educated at Eton College , Windsor . He served as 2nd Lieutenant in the Somerset Light Infantry. His studies at Trinity College of Cambridge University he graduated in 1957 as a Bachelor of Arts from (BA). He worked as a photographer.

When his father died in 1958, he inherited his title of nobility as 7th Baron Rossmore , of Monaghan in the County of Monaghan ( Peerage of Ireland , bestowed in 1796) and 6th Baron Rossmore, of the County of Monaghan ( Peerage of the United Kingdom , bestowed in 1838 ). A hereditary seat in the House of Lords was associated with the latter title . He held the parliamentary seat until he lost it through reforms of the House of Lords Act 1999 .

In 1982 he married Valerie Marion Tobin. The marriage produced a son:
