William Landlord Howe

William Wirt Howe (born November 24, 1833 in Canandaigua , New York , † March 17, 1909 ) was an American lawyer .

Life

William Wirt Howe, son of Henry Howe, was a lawyer and was 1868 Supreme Court of Louisiana (Louisiana Supreme Court) , which he belonged to the 1872nd He then returned to the bar and served from 1897 to 1900 as President of the Board of Civil Service Commissioners of New Orleans . He became a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in 1900 .

Howe was married to Frances Gridley and was buried in Sunset Hill Cemetery in Clinton after his death .
