William Zouche, 3rd Baron Zouche of Haryngworth

William Zouche, 3rd Baron Zouche of Haryngworth (also William III. Zouche or William la Zouche ; * 1340 - 13 May 1396 ) was an English nobleman.

He came from the Zouche family and was the eldest son of William II Zouche and Elizabeth Ros. After the death of his father in 1382 he inherited his title Baron Zouche and possessions. He entered the service of the king and became a follower of King Richard II. In 1384 he was accused of defamation of John of Gaunt , but acquitted. In 1385 he accompanied the king on his campaign to Scotland. In 1388 he was referred to the Lords Appellant's objection because of his poor influence on the king of the court. From 1387 he was allowed to fortify his residence at Harringworth in Northamptonshire with royal permission .

Before October 1351 he was married for the first time to Agnes, a daughter of Sir Henry Green. After the death of his wife, he married Elizabeth after 1393 , daughter of Edward le Despenser and widow of John Arundel, 2nd Baron Arundel . He was buried in Harringworth Chapel.

His heir became his son William IV. Zouche .
