Williams Héctor "Willy" Alarcón Cepeda (born November 20, 2000 in Santiago ) is a Chilean football player who is under contract with the first division club CSD Colo-Colo . He occupies the position of central midfielder and has been a Chilean U22 international since 2019 .
Career
society
Alarcón comes from the youth department of the CSD Colo-Colo , where he went through all junior selections. In the 0-2 away defeat against Deportivo Ñublense in the Copa Chile on June 9, 2018, he made his debut for the men's team. He played his first league game on the last match day of the 2018 season when he came on for Esteban Pavez in a 2-0 home defeat against CD Universidad de Concepción in the closing stages . In the following game year he was promoted to the first team by coach Mario Salas . In the first seven games of the season he started from the start as a replacement for the injured Jorge Valdivia , but fell after his return from the team and was then only used sporadically.
National team
On June 1, 2019, Alarcón made his debut for the Chilean U22 national team when he came on as a substitute for Iván Morales in the 1-0 victory in the Toulon tournament against the Portuguese U19 selection in the second half .
Private
Williams Alarcón's father of the same name already played for the traditional CSD Colo-Colo in the 1980s.
