The Williams Peak is about 1,400 meters high and prominent mountain in the East Antarctic Victoria Land . It rises at the junction of the Hobbs , Salmon and Garwood glaciers .
Participants of the 1960 to 1961 campaign as part of the Victoria University of Wellington Antarctic Expedition named him after James Williams (1908-1976), Vice Chancellor of the Victoria University of Wellington from 1951 to 1968.
