Willy Belizer (born November 30, 1985 in Issyk , Kazakh SSR , Soviet Union ) is a German volleyball player .

Career

Willy Belizer began his career in 1996 at the age of eleven at VC Nagold. With the E-youth he qualified for the German championships. In 2000 he moved to TV Rottenburg , where he played for the men in the Regionalliga Süd. In the same year he came through good performances in the state selection of Baden-Württemberg, with which he won the national cup three times (2001, 2003 and 2004). From 2003 to 2005 he played in the junior national team. With this he finished third at the Junior European Championships in Zagreb in 2004 . With TV Rottenburg, he was promoted to the 2nd Bundesliga South in 2003 and the 1st Bundesliga in 2006. However, the TV could not hold in the first division and rose again after a season. In the following season 2007/08 Belizer won with his team the championship in the second division and rose again with the TV 2008 in the first division. In the 2008/09 season he achieved with the TV Rottenburg the pursued goal of staying in the class in the first division. By defeating TSV Giesen in the last home game of the second half of the season, Belizer and TV Rottenburg secured their first place in the playoff round of the German championship. The team was able to repeat this three times in the following four seasons. The best placement was achieved in the 2009/10 season with fifth place in the main round. This entitled to participation in the Challenge Cup of the following year, in which Belizer reached the second round with the Swabians. After 16 years in Rottenburg, Belizer ended his career in 2016.
