Willy Mint

Willy Minz (born October 23, 1901 in Bergisch Gladbach ; † July 9, 1972 in Cologne ) was a German business economist.

Life

In 1923 he received his commercial diploma in Cologne and obtained his doctorate in 1926. rer. pole. His dissertation The German business literature on the machine industry was published in 1926 as a supplement to the journal for commercial research ( ZfhF ). From June 1926 to September 1932 Minz was Eugen Schmalenbach's assistant and worked as an editor for the journal for commercial research. Also in 1932 he was one of the co-founders of the Schmalenbach Association, the predecessor of the Schmalenbach Society for Business Administration . In the summer of 1928 he took up teaching at the university in Schmalenbach's trusteeship seminar. He was one of the first to pass the auditor and tax advisor exam on July 15, 1932 , and then worked as an auditor. A year later he became a board member of Revision Treuhand AG in Cologne. Minz became a member of the SA in 1933 and of the NSDAP in 1937 (membership number: 3,980,126).

In 1951, Minz became a board member of the newly founded Schmalenbach Society . In 1961 the University of Cologne formally appointed him honorary professor. In the same year he took over the main editorial management of the journal Die Wirtschaftsprüfung . This was preceded by many years in which he was already teaching at the university. In 1970 he retired from his work at Revision Treuhand AG and his work as chief editor of the auditing department .

Since 1922 he was a member of the Catholic student association KDSt.V. Rhineland Cologne.
