Willy Padrutt

Willy Padrutt (born July 26, 1928 in Chur ; legal resident in Pagig ) is a Swiss lawyer and Swiss federal prosecutor .

Life

The son of Peter Padrutt and Marie Luise Padrutt geb. Winnewisser studied law at the universities of Bern and Paris , received his doctorate and was admitted to the bar . In 1955 he became a clerk at the Grisons cantonal court. From 1963 to 1993 he was a public prosecutor for the canton of Graubünden and, after Rudolf Gerber's resignation, from 1990 to 1993 he was also a Swiss federal prosecutor . Under Padrutt, the federal prosecutor's office was reorganized in accordance with the requirements of the report of the Parliamentary Commission of Inquiry (FDJP) on the Fichen Affair . Padrutt played a key role in the preparation of the 1998 federal law on safeguarding internal security.

Padrutt was married to Giovanna Dolores Padrutt-Ramoni (1937-2015), daughter of Pierre Frédéric Ramoni.
