Willy Rathnov
Willy Rathnov (born May 13, 1937 in Roskilde ; † August 29, 1999 ) was a Danish actor .
Life
Before starting his acting career, Rathnov was stationed in Gaza in 1958 as a blue helmet soldier for the United Nations . From 1959 to 1962 he completed his acting training at the drama school of the Royal Theater in Copenhagen and made his stage debut while still training. He then played major roles on many stages in Copenhagen and in the rest of Denmark, including being part of the Amager Scenen ensemble for seven years . He was also seen as an actor in some revues .
In 1960 Rathnov made his film debut as resistance fighter Kim Malthe-Bruun in Frihedens pris . He became known to a wide audience as Egon in the television series Oh, These Tenants . He also appeared in two Olsen Gang films , such as the fraudster Rico in The Olsen Gang goes to Jutland in 1971 . He also played several supporting roles in the erotic comedies of the Sengekanten series.
