Willy Vierlinger (born November 6, 1908 , † June 29, 1996 ) was a Bavarian dialect author .

Life

Willy Vierlinger is the older brother of Emil Vierlinger . Willy Vierlinger is the author of numerous scenes. The character he invented Dimpflmoser , the apparently authentic archetype of the grumpy Bavarian (" Baiern "), became popular with drawings by Gerhardt Hentrich as a weekly picture story . This appeared from 1936 to 1940 in the Munich supplement of the newspaper “Die Post” from the central publishing house of the NSDAP . There have been book publications with (the same) Franz-Eher-Verlag , such as Dimpflmoser (1939).

In publications that appeared after the Second World War , individual stories are missing that too much sprang from the zeitgeist of National Socialist Germany; individual texts were also gently edited.

Vierlinger also wrote even radio plays for the early radio , so together with Olf Fischer for the series Brummlg'schichten (1947). His pieces were performed by Liesl Karlstadt, among others . Vierlinger worked as a freelancer for Bayerischer Rundfunk for many years .

In 1975 Intercord released a record with scenes from the book Immortal Dimpflmoser with Gustl Bayrhammer in the role of Dimpflmoser.
