Wilma Bayer

Wilma Bayer (born May 1, 1909 in Hamburg , † November 9, 1977 in Hildesheim ) was a German politician ( SPD ).

Life

Bayer first graduated from secondary school and then attended a commercial college in Hamburg. From 1926 to 1932 she worked as an accountant in the private sector. From 1933, with an interruption of two years, she worked for the Chamber of Crafts in Hildesheim until the beginning of 1967 . Most recently she was employed there as a department head for vocational training. Bayer was a member of the German Salaried Employees' Union and has served on top committees in an honorary capacity since 1949. She had been a member of the SPD since 1946. Since 1948 she was continuously in the council of the city of Hildesheim, in which she became chairman of the SPD parliamentary group from 1958. She became a member of the Lower Saxony State Parliament for the 5th and 6th electoral periods from April 27, 1966, when she replaced Hans Janßen , until June 20, 1970. As early as 1964, the State Parliament had elected her to the fourth Federal Assembly, which Heinrich Lübke as Federal President re-elected.
