The Windhoek College of Education (WCE) was one of four universities of teacher education in Namibia and offered three-year diploma courses in basic vocational education for primary and secondary school teachers : the Basic Education Teacher Diploma (BETD).
The college was based on Andrew Kloppers Strasse in Windhoek- Khomasdal , was founded in 1978 and merged with the Khomas College of Education in 1990 . In addition to the classrooms, it also maintained a university library, a computer and art center, and student dormitories.
Effective April 1, 2010, the college was incorporated into the Faculty of Education at the University of Namibia .
