The Windhoek Country Club Resort is a 4-star hotel in the Namibian capital Windhoek . It is operated by the South African Legacy Group but is state owned by the Department of Environment and Tourism .
The hotel opened in 1995 to host the Miss Namibia and Miss Universe elections . It is considered one of the best hotels in the country and has won numerous national awards.
The hotel is designed as a country club and, in addition to the hotel building with 152 rooms and suites, four restaurants and bars, an 18-hole golf course and a large pool area. The hotel also has the Oryx Conference Center , the second largest conference center in Namibia. The Entertainment Center & Desert Jewel Casino is particularly popular, with entertainment facilities and a casino .
