The wind farm Dorper is a wind farm in South Africa , the north-west of Queenstown is. It consists of 40 wind turbines of the type Nordex N100 / 2500 , which is rated at 2.5 for a rotor diameter of 100 meters MW have. The wind farm was built turnkey and officially put into operation in spring 2015.
The wind farm is operated by Dorper Wind Farm PTY Ltd, a subsidiary of Rainmaker Energy of the Japanese Sumitomo Corporation founded especially for the wind farm business .
