Winfried Göpfert

Winfried Göpfert (born September 14, 1943 in Trier ) is a German journalist and media scientist .

Life

Winfried Göpfert studied communications engineering at the University of Karlsruhe (Dipl.-Ing.) And was the head of the science department at Sender Freies Berlin for many years , as well as editor and moderator of science and medical programs , in particular the ARD health guide .

Between 1990 and 2003, the Berlin science magazine "Dimensions" was produced every semester at Göpfert's chair , which contained contributions from students in the field.

Today Göpfert is emeritus professor for science journalism at the Institute for Journalism and Communication Studies at the Free University of Berlin . He also works as a freelance science journalist as well as a moderator and media trainer.

In 2005 he was made an honorary senator by the German Association of Trade Journalists.
