Winfried Küppers (* 1944 in Herborn ) is a German actor , stage actor and voice actor . In the 1970s, Küppers lent his voice to several figures from the Augsburger Puppenkiste .

Life

Küppers was born in Herborn in December 1944. His mother, who actually lived in Cologne, was evacuated there after bombing. After the war, his family returned to Cologne and Küppers stayed here until he was twenty. In 1965 he graduated from high school and then attended the State University for Music and Performing Arts in Frankfurt am Main to become an actor. During his studies he played at the municipal theaters in Frankfurt. In 1968 he moved to the Landestheater in Schleswig and until 2016 was always engaged at the theater in Braunschweig, Augsburg, Darmstadt, Mainz and from 1996 in Düsseldorf. He lives in Düsseldorf and continues to play theater. Most recently at the theater in Cologne.

Private

Winfried Küppers has a daughter and three sons.
