Windows Sysinternals

Windows Sysinternals is a division of the Microsoft company in which system tools for the Windows operating system are developed and offered as freeware on the Internet.

history

"Winternals Software LP", or "Winternals" for short, was a software company founded in 1996 by Mark Russinovich and Bryce Cogswell. Winternals had on the development of diagnostic - software for the operating system Microsoft Windows specializes. The software developed was partly offered commercially under the name “Winternals” and partly free of charge under the name “Sysinternals” on the Internet as freeware .

On July 18, 2006, the Winternals company was bought by Microsoft and later incorporated into the group as "Windows Sysinternals". The two founders of Winternals have been working on the development of Windows ever since.
