Wise Ridge is a pointed gable ridge in East Antarctic Victoria Land . In the Saint Johns Range it rises in a southwest-northeast orientation and with heights between 1200 m and 1550 m between the Dahe glacier and the Willis glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named the ridge in 2005 after the marine geologist Sherwood W. Wise Jr. (* 1941) from Florida State University , who from 1973 to 2004 carried out preparatory work as well as the extraction, analysis and storage of geological samples from the Southern Ocean was involved.
