Vitaly Petrowytsch Romanenko ( Ukrainian Віта́лій Петро́вич Романе́нко ; born July 13, 1926 in Kiev , Ukrainian SSR ; † September 27, 2010 ibid) was a Soviet sports shooter .
successes
Vitaly Romanenko took part in the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne . In the running deer discipline he achieved the highest number of points with 441 points and was Olympic champion ahead of Olof Sköldberg and Vladimir Sevrjugin .
Romanenko was with the team in 1954 in Caracas , 1958 in Moscow , 1961 in Oslo and 1962 in Cairo in both single and double shot world champion . He also won the gold medal in the single shot in 1954. In this discipline he was runner-up in 1958 and 1961, and in 1954 he also won silver in a double shot.
