Per Olof Sköldberg (born January 19, 1910 in Kristinehamn , † July 16, 1979 in Stockholm ) was a Swedish sports shooter .

successes

Olof Sköldberg took part in the 1952 Olympic Games in Helsinki and the 1956 Games in Melbourne . In the running deer discipline he scored 409 points, placing him second behind John Larsen and ahead of Tauno Mäki . Four years later he also won the silver medal, this time with 432 points. Only Vitaly Romanenko did better with 441 points.

Sköldberg was world champion four times in Helsinki in 1937 and in Stockholm in 1947 . In 1937 he secured the title with a double shot and in 1947 with a single shot. He also won gold with the team in 1947 in a single and double shot. He also won a total of four silver and three bronze medals in Buenos Aires in 1949 , Oslo in 1952 and Caracas in 1954 , two of which were individual silver and bronze medals.
