Without Face is a Hungarian progressive metal band that was founded in 1997 in Veszprém .

history

After being founded in 1997, Without Face recorded a first demo entitled Men Without Face . Both band name and demo tracks are inspired by the film The Man Without a Face (Original title: The Man Without a Face). It should also make it clear that the group has its own style.

In 2000 the label Hammer Music Productions released the debut album Deep Inside , which was later re-released on the US label Dark Symphonies. In 2000 and 2001 there were several line-up changes , with a total of five members leaving the band. In 2003 Without Face finally had to part with their singer Julie Kiss, as she founded the British band To-Mera together with Lee Barrett .

After the band signed a four-album contract with Elitist Records in 2002, the album Astronomicon was released that same year , which received positive reviews. It was named “Album of the Month” by the English music magazine Metal Hammer .
