Witjastief 2

The Witjastief 2 (also Witjastiefe 2 , Vityaz depth (e) 2 , Vitias depth (e) 2 or Vitiaz depth (s) 2 is called), a sea depth in the southwestern part of the Pacific Ocean (Pacific) and 10,882 m sea depth the deepest part of the Tonga trench . It was named after the Soviet research ship Vitjas .

The Witjastief 2 is located in the southwestern Pacific Ocean east of the Kermadec-Tonga Ridge in the southern part of the Tonga trench south of 'Eua , the southernmost Tonga Island . It is located at about 24 degrees south latitude and 175 degrees west longitude .
