The Wittig memorial is a memorial to the driver Walter Wittig who was murdered in the vicinity of today's memorial in Magdeburg in Saxony-Anhalt .

The memorial was erected for the Leipzig professional driver Walter Wittig, who was murdered here on August 23, 1927. The memorial was placed on behalf of Wittig's professional colleagues who were members of the German Transport Association in Leipzig and Magdeburg.

The monument consists of an upright stone stele, on the north side of which faces the street in the upper part an oval black plaque is attached. On the board is the inscription:

Here on August 23, 1927,
the power cab driver
Walter Wittig
from Leipzig was murdered in
honor of his memory!
