Vladimir Avramov

Vladimir Avramov ( Bulgarian Владимир Аврамов ; English Vladimir Avramov ; born December 3, 1909 in Sofia , † March 2007 ) was a Bulgarian violinist and music teacher.

Life

Awramow studied violin with Hans Koch and chamber music with Leopold Kramer in Germany . He performed in Bulgaria as a soloist and chamber musician and taught at the State Music Academy in Sofia. There he headed the violin department, later the faculty for music interpretation and finally became chancellor of the academy. Among other things, the violinist Nedjaltscho Todorow was his student. He was awarded the medal “Stara Planina” 1st class and in 1994 an honorary doctorate from the State Music Academy.
