Bad Piggies (English for evil pig ) is a computer game of the Finnish developer Rovio Entertainment . It was released on September 27, 2012 for iOS , macOS , Android and Windows and in 2013 also for Blackberry 10 and 2014 for Windows Phone .
The game made it to the top of the most popular apps in Apple's American App Store within three hours , which was a new record.
Game concept
Bad Piggies is a spin-off of the successful computer game Angry Birds . The green pigs, who were the enemies of the "Angry Birds" there, are the protagonists here. Graphically, both games are clearly similar, but the game concept is different.
The player builds vehicles and airplanes with given items with which the piggy should drive to a destination. The vehicle can be controlled using the items while driving. For example, it can be driven by a propeller, a wheel or a fan.
In addition, stars can be acquired through special achievements, such as collecting stars on the route, completing the respective level in a certain time or not using particularly valuable driving instruments. These stars can be used to unlock bonus levels. From time to time the Angry Birds also appear in the context of cameo appearances or opponents.
Level
At the time of publication, the game consisted of the two episodes "Ground Hog Day" and "When Pigs Fly", which each contain 36 levels. Furthermore, there was a sandpit mode from the beginning, in which the piggy doesn't have to reach a goal, but has to collect skulls. The first update brought the new episode "Flight in the Night" with twelve normal and three special levels.
There are now more than 200 levels, over 40 of which are special levels.

The game was largely positively received by the trade press.
