Residential and commercial building Moritzburger Strasse 3

description

The three-storey, formerly under monument protection standing residential and commercial building is immediately adjacent in the closed buildings on the corner house Moritz Straße 1 on. The building is only three window axes wide. In the middle of the slightly developed, tiled mansard roof is a gable dormer . There are round-arched shop windows on the ground floor. The upper floors, plastered with rough plaster, with pilaster strips and window mirrors in the outer axes lie above a cornice suspected of having patinated copper plates . The windows are surrounded by bottles of paint .

history

In 1924, the baker Curt Günther had another narrow residential and commercial building attached to the Wettin house that belonged to him . For this, the two-story predecessor building from 1864 had to give way. The architect and master builder Arthur Hanns provided him with the draft, and he and his construction company FA Bernhard Große Nachsteiger also took care of the construction management and execution.
