A residential path is a narrow path of limited length. It is used for development of land and is one of the residential streets. Residential paths can be designated as not passable or passable.

Non-drivable path

Residential paths that are not passable are exclusively dedicated to pedestrian traffic and designed accordingly. This development is preferably suitable for areas with single-family houses, but can also be used in areas with multi-storey buildings.

The paved path has a minimum width of 1.5 m. On both sides of the paved path, green strips are to be provided that are at least 2.5 m wide in total. This results in a total width of at least 4.0 m.

Motorable path

The drivable path is intended for pedestrian traffic and restricted to motor vehicle traffic by residents. Pedestrians have priority over vehicle traffic.

The length of the residential path depends on the number of floors in the adjacent buildings:

Number of floors Max. Length of the path
1 to 2 80 m
3 60 m
4 or more 50 m
