Wojciech Władysław Rudy (born October 24, 1952 in Katowice , Poland ) is a former Polish football player , coach , official and referee . He also worked as a school principal and teacher in Sosnowiec .

Wojciech Rudy started his career as a goalkeeper at Gwardia Katowice . It was not until Zagłębie Sosnowiec , where he played from 1970 to 1983, that he was converted into a defensive player.

Wojciech Rudy played 40 times for the Polish national team and scored one goal. Rudy was part of the Polish team at both the 1976 Olympic Games and the 1978 World Cup .

After his active football career, he was a national and international referee for a long time. From 2000 to 2007 he was director of elementary school No. 23 in Sosnowiec and at the same time sports director of Zagłębie Sosnowiec . In April 2007 he was arrested on suspicion of corruption in Polish football and released two days later on bail of PLN 20,000 .
