Wolf Peter Fehlhammer

Wolf Peter Fehlhammer (born September 9, 1939 in Munich ) is a German chemist and former director general of the Deutsches Museum .

Professional career

Wolf Peter Fehlhammer studied chemistry at the Technical University of Munich . In 1968 he received his doctorate, was an assistant at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich and finally completed his habilitation in 1976.

From 1976 to 1983 he was a professor at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg .

From 1984 to 1991 he held the post of director of the Institute for Inorganic and Analytical Chemistry at the Free University of Berlin . From 1993 to 2004 he was the general director of the Deutsches Museum in Munich.

Wolf Peter Fehlhammer has published numerous books and writings in the fields of chemistry and museology .
