Wolf Records
Wolf Records is an independent Austrian record company based in Vienna , which has set itself the task of releasing blues records from the 30s and 40s and spreading contemporary Chicago blues .
history
The history of Wolf Records began in 1974 with the founding of the Vienna Blues Fan Club by 20 Viennese blue enthusiasts. The club held concerts until 1981 (e.g. JB Hutto , Honeyboy Edwards , Eddie Taylor , Louis Myers , Homesick James , Snooky Pryor , Brewer Phillips , Ted Harvey , Detroit Junior, Houston Stackhouse and Henry Townsend). Two records were released from these performances, a sampler Chicago Blues Live and Sad and Lonesome with Homesick James and Snooky Pryor. In 1982 four members of the club decided to start a record company: Wolf Records. Wolf Records USA was founded in 1996.
